Take it slow! Fuck no! We’ll put the pedal down And see just how fast this beast can go Take your time Heading up the Burrell Road I don’t think so We’ll 4 wheel slide Until we get a flat or roll! Chorus Let’s GO! Let’s GO! There’s no time Let’s crank Pastel And fuckin roll Let’s GO! Let’s GO! Let’s fucking GO! We’ll bring the party They’ll know when we fucking show Verse II Pick up 8 friends Pick up 6 more as we go In the Aerostar Ain’t no fancy car The cops will never know Rally up Motocross To Valley Heights road Then to Bare Ass cause we saw those lights And gotta hide from the popo

Afterglow 04:04
It’s the season of suicide Watch the blue rivers in my wrist fade and die As the world ends in my mind Fuck the heroes the ones that lied And when you realize That nobody cares That you've pushed away No hope for repairs Don’t make the mistake Of going in blind Just fuckin figure it out Or you'll get left behind And the second time It just comes and goes It gets easier To pack-up and foreclose So if you want to take Another chance and see I might not be outside For you to disagree And If you thought That you were a part of me Well that was in the past Now I’m an amputee So don't forget about Ability to see Forgotten ignorance Accountability When you've got nothing to lose Then you've got no excuse Time to make a choice Silence the voice of self-abuse So pick yourself up off the ground Take that energy and turn it around You’re surrounded by more than you know Open your eyes to the afterglow

White wide rails To feel alive When mediocrity has become your life When the fall Becomes the norm You'll have to walk outside to weather the storm Waking up inside this mess Fluorescent headache beating out of your chest No one’s saying be straight edge Step back From that ledge The way things were Ain’t the way they be Take off that mask And join the party Gone through pain And the suffering I know you wont regret it So get off your fucking knees The cycle starts Where does it end Keep saying it over and over again Eventually One of these days Maybe you'll start to see clearly through the haze From afar You’re ok but Near sighted thinking can only take you so far Hide your scars Suppress the fear Where do we go from here? The way things were Ain’t the way they be Take off that mask And join the party Gone through pain And the suffering I know you wont regret it So get off your fucking knees

Now everybody wants their second changes Nobody thinks that it's their fault Well let me tell you that your good intentions They don't mean shit unless you show up when we fall Now I don't want apologies and excuses Cause it don't matter what you meant to do It only matters if you got the fuckin bruises It only matters if you follow through Second Chances

Meaningless words (Thinking of you) With best intentions (To carry you through) More like a curse (To show I care) Just make it worse Your thoughts and prayers Our forests burning (You're in our thoughts) You stood by watching (To you and yours) Our pockets empty (Penetrating stares) But you did nothing With thoughts and prayers They've taken my home (I hope you're well) I have nothing now. How? Whatever context (Quote of the year) Error in syntax (It’s not coming clear) Disdainful speech-craft (In and out both ears) Cast away on a lonely raft They've taken my home (I hope you're well) I have nothing now. How? (That makes me so sad) Your status update (Thinking of you and yours) The least you could do Your thoughts and prayers To do nothing, while concerning Can’t compare to social hubris…

I'm down on my knees My face turned to the sky I call to a ghost And beg him to make me fly Devotion guides me My penance soothes me Life’s a lot easier When I hold no liability I don't ask why Don’t you wonder why? Don’t you even fucking try Don’t you wonder why? Don’t you even fucking try Get off your knees Don't look to the sky It wasn't a ghost That gave you passion or drive Everything you see here Was built by your hands You’re giving credit to ghosts But on your own two feet you stand You must ask Why! Don’t you wonder why? Don’t you even fucking try Don’t you wonder why? Don’t you even fucking try Stand up Off your knees It doesn’t matter what they do They can’t take it away from you Doesn’t matter what they do It's always inside you Stand up Off your knees They tell you to have a bit of faith but to always remember your shame So Stand up Off your knees

What the fuck’s going on? You’re standing there with that fucking stare And I’m sick of it Why can’t you try You’ve so much more But you’ve shut that door And now I’m leaving here Dry your eyes They’re wasted tears You’re mind I’ve plied With everything To make you believe That you’re worth it Everything's up to you! What are you going to do? You've fucked it up to here, What's your next move? If it was up to me I’d love to be in your shoes You've fucked it up to here, What's your next move? What the fucks going on? My mind is gone In this fucking song And I’m losing it Mountains slide People die In your own life But you survive All your lies Those wasted years I'll make you go through this You said you wanted to go! Everything's up to you! What are you going to do? You've fucked it up to here, What's your next move? If it was up to me I’d love to be in your shoes You've fucked it up to here, What's your next move?

about

Murderers’ debut album is a gas-powered daiquiri blender of equal parts skate punk and thrash metal, with an ounce of hardcore, the juice of one ‘80s metal solo, and a dash of the blues.
A hard fought, long road, DIY album that has traversed relationships, health struggles both mental and physical, to the backdrop of a pandemic, Murderers’ debut release marks a bloody victory over life and themselves.
Songs to inspire, songs to challenge and songs to rip around your hometown to in a red Ford Aerostar with the middle seats removed full of friends heading to the last great party of the summer.
